Jimmy Dore is a comedian who hosts the popular podcast "Comedy and Everything Else," "The Jimmy Dore Show" on KPFK 90.7 FM in Los Angeles (and other Pacifica Radio stations across the U.S.), the "Pop and Politics" live show at the UCB Theatre in L.A., and a new live show at Flappers in Burbank. Jimmy sits with Brodie and Gene to chat about coming from the Chicago stand-up scene, negotiating through the world of commercial auditions, the motivations behind and logistics of juggling so many projects, and the scoop behind the character Moron's obsession with infomercial products. We discuss trying to make it in the music industry in L.A., how our childhood novelty gifts mall outlet has become more and more of a darkened head shop, Gene's grudge with the state of Colorado, Brodie's obscure Kill Rock Stars references, and party favors for your next nudist beach shindig.
